about

Miss Mushroom, the lovely girl who can dance (pretty well) and does (all night). Her skirt swishes through the light and fog, inciting them to dance along. She will hold your hand and kiss you and expect nothing more than your friendship. We recorded this ode to shape-shifting love in my kitchen, with a harp in the sink and a microphone in the oven.

lyrics

Miss Mushroom Blossom was a-walking down the road, said,
"Hey, little boy, where did you go?"
I said,
"I've been singing pretty little songs
for all the pretty people around.
"But they only like old rock songs, so I'm going to get milk and eggs in the town."
She said,
"Come along, walk beside me son, I got lost in the fun and you're gonna be the one
"To show me the way to where you're going! Cause I got places to be but I don't exactly know it.
"I'll pretend to be the wind, and you can be the captain. You get an itty bitty gritty sail and I will get a-blowing"

Well she gave me her hand and a kiss on the cheek
And the next thing you know the road turned into a creek
The water was a-flowing, wind got into blowing
The branches were low and
I was turning GREEN Jeans took himself a seat next to me
And Mr. Fog was rolling all over the scene
The sunlight was peeking through the jungle canopy
And my beautiful Belle was a-swinging in the trees
My beautiful Belle was ringing in the trees
She ring-a-ling-a-dinged,
"Show me the way to where you're going! Cause I got places to be but I never really knew it.
"You can be the submarine, and I can be the sea. You can awoo-awooga til you're here with me..."

Then I belched myself a big ol' foghorn sound
And the next thing I knew we were a spiraling down
Down into the deep
Where luminescent critters creep
And Mr. Blue is the King of Everything
Popped his head through the hatch
Of the galley making batches
Of smooth red velvet (with the little green rosettes)
And Mr. Red, he came down with a case of tourettes
He started shouting out obscenities!
Well I got so hot I took a shot of rocket fuel
And the party started dying
Miss Mushroom started crying
And an old bass drum started counting down
10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...
ONE!!!
Show me the way to where you're going!
Cause the space between us is infinitely growing!
I always loved to pretend to be somewhere in outer space
And YOU can be the Galaxy
That cradles all the STARS that spin along with me

You can be the galaxy
That cradles all the stars that
Spin along with me
